TaleAlley takes place outdoors in the real world. The actual conditions around you always take priority over clues, maps, GPS data and instructions in the app.
Use only publicly accessible, permitted paths and areas. Follow traffic rules, traffic lights, signs, barriers and house rules. Do not enter private, closed or clearly inaccessible areas.
Watch your surroundings while walking. Put your phone away, especially when crossing a road. Do not use TaleAlley while driving a vehicle.
TaleAlley never requires dangerous behaviour. Do not swim or wade through water, do not climb walls, bridges, railings, buildings or monuments, do not jump from heights and do not climb over barriers.
If construction, an event, a closure or another hazard makes a mission location unsafe to reach, do not try to force your way through. Use Help or an available alternative. In dangerous weather or other risky conditions, pause the adventure. It can be continued later within the technical limits of the app.
GPS and digital maps can be inaccurate or temporarily unavailable. A Direction finder shows a direction, not automatically a permitted route.
If minors are playing, a suitable adult must actually be part of the team and provide the necessary supervision. This person must have parental responsibility or have been asked to do this by the persons with parental responsibility. The group stays together, and supervision is adapted to the age of the children.
TaleAlley Help is not an emergency service. In acute danger, call 112.
About the story
The plot and characters of the adventure are fictional. Real places serve as settings. The tasks can be solved with the information and tools provided in the app and the intended observations at the location. External search engines are not required.
“Start introduction” only begins preparation. The adventure begins only after the introduction, safety information and briefing, the required readiness confirmations and an explicit start by an authorised adult.
